Developed and published for NES and Game Boy, Dr. Mario is a falling block tile-matching game similar to Tetris. Players control Mario as he throws two-colored vitamin capsules into a medicine bottle, which serves as the playing field. The goal is to align the capsules with the viruses of matching colors to create a row or column of four, thereby eliminating the viruses.
Single-Player Mode: Clear all the viruses to progress through increasingly difficult levels.
Difficulty Settings: Choose from three speed settings (Low, Medium, High) and start at any level from 0 to 20.
Music Options: Select between two background tracks, Fever and Chill, or play without music.

The success of Dr. Mario Online led to several sequels and spin-offs, such as "Dr. Mario 64," "Dr. Luigi," and "Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure." The game has also been featured in other Nintendo franchises, including the "Super Smash Bros." series and "WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!"
Released in 2019 for mobile devices, Dr. Mario World revitalized the classic Dr. Mario franchise by bringing its iconic virus-busting gameplay to a new platform. While maintaining the core mechanics of matching colored capsules to eliminate viruses, Dr. Mario World introduced new features like upward-floating capsules, special abilities for different doctor characters, and a competitive Versus Mode.
